A collection of the South’s most interesting culinary icons took a tour Bayou la Batre, Saturday, November 1, 2014. They enjoyed the opportunity to explore Bayou la Batre's seafood culture and heritage by touring a variety of our own seafood partners here in town all in conjunction with Dauphin Island's fourth annual Seafood, Science & Celebrity event.
Thank you to all of our celebrity chef guests who joined us on the tour. We enjoyed hosting you and showing off much of what we love about our home.
The tour included crab picking at Waterfront Seafood, a walk around the boat docks at Dominick's Seafood, and an educational visit to Point aux Pins oyster
farm. It didn't take long for our chefs to crack open a few oysters right there on the dock.
